Bookish Babes is a Cape Town book club that gathers every month at a bookstore for meet-ups, with side quests like retreats, movie nights, and everything in between. Founded by Andrea Le Riche and grown into a sisterhood of over 1,500 readers nationwide.

What began as six friends in Cape Town who couldn't stop talking about books has grown into an online community of over 1,500 women. We never imagined this, and we're just getting started.
Bookish Babes is a safe space for readers and writers. We stand for community, love, and respect. Our goal? That every member walks away with their cup full: inspired, connected, and seen.
Whether you devour a book a week or take your sweet time, whether you write poetry in the margins or just love a good story, you belong here.
